I'm a former library kid, so I spent my early years trying to survive with headphones, hoodies, and tattered Stephen King novels. In my twenties I was a 4th grade teacher. In my thirties I went to culinary school and became a  professional chef. In my forties I found my true passion: writing. I'm particularly drawn to stories that weave magic into the tapestry of everyday life, whether it is speculative fiction, horror, or fantasy. I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina with my husband and two teenagers who blocked me on TikTok.
